Imprint is a transradial prosthesis. The mission of this project was to improve a child’s quality of life by offering an affordable prosthesis to the rural areas of Colombia, which will reconnect them to their community and provide self-worth.

Even though this project heavily dealt with empathetic studies and prototypes, we sketched ideas to work through manufacturing methods and mechanisms.

The project won first place in the 2014 Student Thermoform Competition held by Freetech Plastics and first place SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers, Inc) Annual Thermoforming Conference Parts Competition.
Prototypes
Through multiple prototypes, I have created a prosthetic arm that was easy to produce and offers its users the ability to do the basic needs. This helped me eliminate misunderstandings and miscommunications during the development process.
